Bobby Pope, 72, of Thomaston, formerly of Duluth died Friday July 29, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ward Pope, and a son, William Issac Pope. He is survived by his daughters; Venitha Pettus, Deborah Finch, and Scherry Whitaker; son, Bobby Pope, Jr. 13 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons 12 pm Monday, August 1, 2011 with Dr. Frank Crumpler officiating. Entombment will be held in Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 7pm at A.S. Turner & Sons
