Bonnie Hillegas

Bonnie Louise Rowe Hillegas, of Tucker, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 84. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Beth Howell (Bob), and sons, Marty Breedlove (Sharon) and JR Breedlove (Julie); grandchildren Andy Howell (Kendall), Jared Breedlove (Jen) and Brittany Breedlove; and great grandchildren Bowen Breedlove and Hannah Howell. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Breedlove. She is also survived by her sister, Deedee Eickhoff (Dick).

Bonnie was a native Atlantan, a life-long Episcopalian and a graduate of Avondale High School. She loved her family, her cats, Harry and Star, dogs, and horses. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked very hard for her family holding multiple jobs and eventually retired from the Dekalb County School System.

A service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Parish, 515 E. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030 on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the at Holy Trinity an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LIfeline Animal Project, 3180 Presidential Drive, Atlanta, GA 30340.
