Boyce Dodd Sullivan, 99 of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015. A native of Habersham County, she was the daughter of Ruth (Whitworth) and James Taylor Dodd. She was a graduate of Piedmont College and did secretarial work for the State of Georgia, MGM Booking Department and Superior Trucking Company. She also typed reports for court reporters. She was a long time member of Oakhurst Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Decatur. She was a poll manager for DeKalb County Board of Electors. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, James Weldon Pug Sullivan. Survivors include her daughters; Ann (and Frank) Kennedy and Beth Sullivan; granddaughter; Jill (and Tommy) Cheatham; grandson; Jeff Kennedy; 5 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Rhea Jones officiating. Burial will take place at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and also one hour prior to service on Friday at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
