Bradley Robert (Brad) Gay

Bradley Robert "Brad" Gay, 23, of Avondale Estates, died August 5, 2012. Brad was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and was a 2007 graduate of St. Pius X High School, where he participated in football, baseball and triathlon activities. He received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering in 2011 from Georgia Tech, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Brad was recently employed as an engineer for the paper division of Unisource Worldwide. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Brad Gay and Robert Lancaster. Brad is survived by his parents, Mary and Gerald Gay of Avondale Estates; sisters, Meredith Gay of Raleigh NC and Pepper Gay of Avondale Estates; maternal grandmother, Carole Lancaster of St. Petersburg FL; paternal grandmother, Shirley Gay of Ocala FL; several aunts, uncles and cousins. The Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM, Wednesday, August 8, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Brian Lorei officiating. For those desiring, a memorial donation may be made in honor of Brad Gay to the Atlanta Chapter of JDRF or Birthright International. The family will receive friends 5-7 Tuesday evening, with a rosary following at 7:30 p.m., at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
