Brenton Paul Heitzner, 50, passed away on July 27, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia. Brent was born on January 12, 1974 in Winter Haven, Florida. He graduated from Winter Haven High School and earned a certification from Gwinnett Technical College. He started his career as a bridal salesman traveling the Southeast and became a Surgical Technologist.
Brent married Jennifer Bonestroo on January 31, 2004 in Orlando, Florida after meeting in college and they lived in Atlanta for the past 20 years. Brent was a devoted husband, son and brother, a proud uncle of seven nieces and nephews, and a lover of animals especially his rescue dogs. He was a passionate Braves and Cowboys fan, an excellent cook/griller, a RC car racing hobbyist, and an avid reader.
Brent is survived by Jennifer Heitzner - wife, Karen Blakley Heitzner - mother, Nicole Houle - sister, Meredith O'Neal - father, and Michael Heitzner - stepbrother. He is preceded in death by Sheldon Heitzner - father, Paulette Jones - aunt and Jay Heitzner - stepbrother.
The memorial service for Brent Heitzner will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11 am at St. Luke's United Methodist Church at 4851 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, Florida. A reception will follow the memorial at Bay Hill Village Clubhouse at 8943 Savannah Park, Orlando, FL 32819.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Brent's name to Lifeline Animal Project in Atlanta, Georgia or Bosley's Place animal rescue in Smyrna, Georgia. Another way to honor his memory is to consider becoming an organ donor.
