Ms. Catherine Belle Cooper, 80, of Atlanta (Decatur) passed away on Monday July 1, 2013. The daughter of Charlie F. and Minnie Belle Cooper, Catherine was born in Atlanta on April 27, 1933. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952. She worked for the Atlanta Clearing House until 1961; from there she worked for the C and S National Bank (now Bank of America) until she retired. She was active in the Christian Church Buckhead (formerly North Druid Hills Christian Church. She is survived by her brother, Chaplain Carl L. Cooper (Dena) of Norfolk, VA; one niece, Kathleen Mosteller of Fort Pierce, FL; two nephews, Mark F. Cooper (Laura) of Lawrenceville, GA and Philip L. Cooper (Jenny) of Chattanooga, TN and eight grand nieces and nephews. She was a very special lady and will be missed by her family and many friends. To God be the glory for the life of His child. The funeral will be conducted on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons with Mark Cooper and Philip Cooper officiating. She will be laid to rest at 1:30 p.m. with her parents in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
