Cecil H. Hallman, Jr., 86, passed away peacefully in memory care surrounded by family on January 12th, 2024. The only son of the late Lucy Roberts Hallman and Cecil H. Hallman, Sr., Cecil was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 21, 1937 and attended East Lake Elementary School, Murphy High School, and the University of Georgia.
After college, he served in the US Air National Guard and then enjoyed a long and successful, professional career as a Territory Manager for manufacturers in the building materials industry. Cecil was a long-time member of Mount Carmel Christian Church serving many terms as both a deacon and elder. He and Catherine later attended Lilburn Christian Church.
Cecil married Catherine Thompson, of Atlanta, Georgia in 1961, who he met while working at Continental Insurance Company in downtown Atlanta. Catherine was a loving and wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother throughout their 62 years of marriage, as well as a member of the choir at Mount Carmel Christian Church. In addition to his dearly beloved wife, Catherine, Cecil is also survived by his two children-Mark Hallman (Kathi) and Lynn Klaess (Tom); four grandsons-Will Hallman (Emily), Carter Boswell, Matthew Klaess, and Luke Klaess all of whom strongly believe in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ thanks to the example Cecil set for his family as he considered himself incredibly blessed by God.
Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil H. Hallman, Sr.
A private, family burial follow his service.
