Cecil Singer

Cecil Ray Singer passed peacefully July 11th, 2025.

Born April 22nd, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia to mother Rosa and father James, he is survived by his loving wife Myra Fleeman Singer, daughters Stacie Singer, Amanda Singer, Christine and husband Tim Crean, grandchildren Jackson Crean, Morgan Crean, Craig Crean, and Joey Crean, brother Bob and wife Jackie Cochran, nieces, nephews, loving family, and grandpup Wrigley. He is preceded by his siblings Harry Singer, Carole Spurlock, Linda Singer, and his loving pets Chip and Radar.

A veteran enlistee of the U.S Army, Cecil was honorably discharged and began a long career at Kraft foods. For 28 years, he served as a loyal and decorated member of the Atlanta Northlake Elks Lodge No. 78, serving as Exalted Ruler during his tenure. Cecil was a proud member of Pine Lake Baptist Church for 35 years, where he devoutly served in the choir. His propensity for service and charity was ingrained in all he did.

Cecil loved scuba diving, camping, and all manners of adventure. He had a passion for fast cars, whether on the road or competing in local pinewood derby races with his grandsons. An avid tinkerer, builder, and fixer, he leaves a legacy of creations for his family to enjoy. A ceaselessly kind man, his impact is felt by everyone who had the pleasure to know him. His endless joy and bottomless love has inspired his family and friends in ways words can never do justice.

A visitation for friends and family will be held at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home (2773 N Decatur Rd Decatur, GA 30033) from 10-11 AM Saturday, July 19, 2025, followed by a Celebration of Life service from 11-12 AM.
