Charles E. Phillips

Charles E. Phillips, 94, of Decatur, Ga. died March 18, 2010. The family will receive friends at A. S. Turner Funeral home on Sunday from 4:00-6:00pm. A graveside service will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 2284 Candler Rd., Decatur, Ga.30032, at 11:00am on Monday, March 22, 2010. Mr. Phillips was a WWII veteran, serving at Normandy, North France and Rhineland and received an American Defense Service Medal, A Good Conduct Medal, a Purple Heart, and a European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon. Mr. Phillips was an employee of Talon Inc. for 47 years-retiring as a Production Manager. He was predeceased by his wife of 22 years, Barbara, his wife of 22 years, Bernie, his son, Dick, his grandson, Scott, and six of his nine siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Susan, daughter-in-law, Roxie, grandson, Kevin, great grandsons, Trevor Logan and David Phillips, his sister, Myrtle Mason and his brother, Norman Phillips.  A. S.
