Charles "Peck" Lawson Ward, 85, of Buford passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 of heart failure. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Clara Mae Ward. They had 4 married children, 2 daughters, Patricia Scott and husband Jeffry, Irene Waddell and husband Randall; 2 sons. Charlie L Ward, Jr. and wife Sandra and James "Jimmy" Ward and wife Cindy. They had a total of 54 grand, great and great-great grandchildren. Mr. Ward is also survived by a sister Jene Lloyd of Covington and a brother J. C. Ward of Atlanta. His funeral service will be held Sunday, July 6, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons with Pastor Bill Carroll officiating. The family received friends on Saturday 4-8 P.M. A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
