Cheryl Ann Fox

Cheryl Ann Fox was born on June 13, 1966, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She was the youngest daughter of Dean and Joy Dickerhoof. Cheryl passed away at the age of 59 in Decatur, Georgia on February 2, 2026. She is survived by her husband Robert Fox, stepdaughter Chelsea Fox, stepson Ian Fox, mother Joy Dickerhoof, sister Katerina Scott, brother-in-law Gary Scott, nephew David Scott, and niece Aurora Scott.

Cheryl graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1984 and then went on to earn her bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1988. She then moved to Washington State and attended law school at the University of Puget Sound.

Cheryl worked as an attorney in the areas of employment discrimination and personal injury. However, Cheryl's favorite job in the legal profession was working as a paralegal for Wiggins & Masters PLLC on Bainbridge Island.

Cheryl met and married Robert Fox in 2010. The newlyweds felt God calling them out of their longtime professions into something new. After a great deal of prayer and wise counsel, Cheryl and Robert became missionaries with SIM USA. The first stop on this journey was language school in Massey, France. Nine months later they left to work as teachers at Sahel Academy in Niamey, Niger, where they served for over five years.

Cheryl's health then required the couple to work stateside for the remainder of her career. Cheryl and her husband served as the Member Care team for Global Frontier Missions (GFM) in the Atlanta area.

Cheryl was blessed with the gift of making everything around her better, especially people. She had a natural love of people and a willingness to listen and not condemn them. Even when her health limited her activities, Cheryl pushed herself to stay engaged in the lives of the people at GFM and Northlake Church of Christ, her local chuch.

Her legacy is of a strong, tender woman who loved the Lord and those He put around her.
