Connie Elaine Wamble, age 52 of Canton, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012. She was a graduate of Avondale High School. She was preceded in death by her father, Johhny E. Akins, Sr. and is survived by her husband, Gene Wamble; mother, Patricia Akins; son, Chris (and Hannah) Murphy; grandchildren, Shannon and Judah Murphy; brother, Johnny E. Akins, Jr.; nephews, Matthew and Daniel Akins; and step-daughter, Christina (and Clay) Skinner. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons on Monday, May 21st at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM on Monday prior to the service.
