Connie Ruth Durden

Mrs. Connie Ruth Durden, age 85, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Roy Durden and her first husband Grover Shore. Mrs. Durden is survived by her children, Darrell Shore and his wife Judy of Douglasville, Donna Gibbs and her husband Ricky of Lilburn, Cindy Shore of Woodstock and Anthony Skyles of Decatur; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Durden was an active member of Briarlake Baptist Church, actively participating in the Joy Sunday School class. Mrs. Durden was also active in visiting the shut-in members of the church, who were unable to attend regular church services. She retired from Avon, after a successful career of 36 years. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 28th at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Briarlake Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Sullivan officiating.
