Daniel "Dan" C. Bailey, Sr.

Daniel C. Bailey, age 72 of Decatur, GA, passed peacefully on August 23, 2022.  Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Columbus and Eula Bailey and his wife, Lola Susan Bailey.  He is survived by his children, Chris Bailey (Sandi), Wayne Dumas and Lisa Johnson (Mike); his seven grandchildren:  Brandon Dumas (Sydney), Brianna “Jasper” Ring, Rebecca Bailey, Sadie Dumas, Daniel Bailey, Jacob Johnson, and David Bailey.  His great grandchildren:  Adelynn Hale, Christopher Gooch, and Cohen Dumas.

Dan was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He loved many things in life:  family, friends, hunting, fishing, baseball practice and would do anything for his grandchildren.  He was a strong man and overcame many obstacles in his lifetime.  We called him our walking miracle.   No matter what Dan was dealing with he would always drop everything to help his family and friends.  He will be greatly missed by all.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 1 pm in the chapel of AS Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.  Interment will be in Melwood Cemetery, Stone Mountain, GA.  The family will receive friends and family on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 6 pm - 8 pm at the funeral home.  A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
