Listen to Obituary

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Daniel "Dan the Man" Manza on March 25, 2026. Born on November 1, 1955, Dan was deeply loved by family and friends, who knew him for his warmth, strength, loyalty, and unwavering character. He leaves behind a legacy defined by kindness, generosity, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for others.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Louise Manza. He is survived by his son, Christopher Manza; son-in-law, Oliver Warren; former wife, Beth Carrillo; sister, Mary Neville (Warren); nephew, Tommy Neville (Kate); and niece, Nancy Robertson (Billy). Each carries forward his spirit and the many lessons he shared throughout his life.

A man of many interests and talents, Dan found joy in both life's simple pleasures and its grand adventures. He enjoyed golfing, deep-sea fishing, and had a natural gift for building and repairing electronics.

Music and film were constant sources of enjoyment for Dan. His tastes ranged from The Beach Boys to Mannheim Steamroller. He was an avid moviegoer who loved Mel Brooks and never missed the Blue Angels air show.

Service to others was central to Dan's life. He dedicated many years as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and Habitat for Humanity, reflecting his commitment to community and helping those in need. A passionate sports fan, he cheered on the Georgia State Panthers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the Falcons, and the Thunderbirds with enthusiasm.

Dan also found meaning in the places he loved, including Heritage Golf Links, New Smyrna Beach in Florida, and Bar Harbor, Maine. He had an appreciation for coastal oil paintings and lighthouses, and he cherished time spent playing chickenfoot dominoes with friends and family.

A graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Administration, Dan was a lifelong member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and an active participant in the Norcross Praise Fellowship Luncheon. Among his many accomplishments, he took great pride in building an X-ray room for a chiropractic office, just one example of his skill and dedication. He was known for his practical wisdom, often reminding others to show up for one another, give what they can, and save a portion of what they earn.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 13, 2026, from 5PM to 7M at Heritage Golf Links. Casual Attire, Hawaiian Shirts, or Golf Shirts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity International in Dan's honor.

Dan's life was a testament to hard work, generosity, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by his family, his many friends across the world, and all those whose lives he touched. His spirit endures in the memories he created and the values he instilled in others."
