Darius Vladas Bakunas

Darius V. Bakunas was born in Klaipeda, Lithuania on March 20, 1937. Darius advanced through the ranks of the United States Air Force to retire as a full Colonel. He was extremely proud of his service and lived a very happy 86 years of life. Darius is survived by his loving wife, Linda, two children, Laura Mehl (Steele Mehl) and Ken Bakunas, six grand children (Kyle Mehl, Shannon Campbell, Colin, Carson, Shay, and Finn Bakunas) , and four great-grandchildren, as well as his brother Vic (Billie and niece Page). A private military ceremony with full honors will be held at the National Cemetery in Canton, on Monday, June 12, at 11:30 am.
