David Young

David Young, 71, of Atlanta, died May 14, 2012, at Emory Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan Winter Young; daughter, Margaret Jane Tucker; son, Alex David Young; son, Brian Thurman Pritchard; granddaughter, Kate Flora Tucker and grandson, William Austin Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman & Flora Pritchard and his sister, Suzanne Pritchard Haycook. He was born in Grand Rapids Michigan, but spent much of his life in Palm Beach Florida and Martha's Vineyard before settling down in Atlanta. David was a professional photographer and graphic designer and owned his own business for over 20 years; A true jack of all trades, he was also an accomplished musician, a skilled handyman, and enjoyed riding his Gold Wing motorcycle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Atlanta Community Food Bank. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held this Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 12 Noon until 3 p.m. at Sol Caterine, 1145 Zonolite Road, Suite 11, Atlanta, GA 30306.
