Dessie Clayton Allen

Dessie Clayton Allen passed away peacefully on April 7, 2022, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, a niece and 2 great grandchildren.

Dessie, lovingly referred to as Meme, is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Thomas (Tom) C Allen, Jr., 4 children Thomas Allen III (Debbie), Kim Allen Shirkness (Richard), Mark Allen, and Lynn Chapman (Robert), 12 grandchildren (11 in laws), 16 great grandchildren, and her dog Major (who only a mother could love).

Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family; creating laughter, playing games, and cooking everyone’s favorite meals.  

We will all miss the family Sunday dinners.
