Diana Hughes, 67, passed away on September 23, 2025, in Atlanta, GA.
Diana was a very successful artist who enjoyed the creative process of knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint. She had an international online business where she sold her hand dyed luxurious yarns and interacted with her peers and clients. Always going the extra mile to make sure they were happy.
One of her most memorable moments was walking down the aisle on her wedding day wearing a beautiful veil handmade by her mother, Patricia. Diana had a very successful career as a computer system architect and was a highly regarded executive at IBM. One of her passions, was playing competitive Bridge, wear she received the status of Master. She was a lover of literature, an avid reader, and a supporter of libraries. Above all things being a loving wife to her husband of 43 years, Charley, was her greatest achievement.
Diana is preceded in death by her parents; Marty and Patricia Swift , sister-in-law; Sherry Haagenson.
Diana is survived by her husband, Charles Hughes, of Atlanta, GA, brother-in-laws; brother; Herbert Hughes (Carolyn) , of Fort Worth, TX, Rodger Haagenson (Sherry), of Fort Lauderdale, FL, sister-in-law; Sandy Waldman (Steve), of Delray Beach, FL, nephews; Brian Haagenson (Mandy), of Ft Lauderdale, FL, Jon Haagenson, of Ft Lauderdale, FL, and Charlie Hughes (Jennifer), of Washington, D.C., nieces; Cheri King (Scott), of Charolette, NC, Julia Walters (Cav), of Greenwich, CT, and Isabella Hughes, of San Antonio, TX.
