Doris Jeanette Sherrill
July 9, 1920 — January 13, 2014
Mrs. Doris J. Sherrill of Atlanta died Monday, January 13, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Sherrill was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and a Lieutenant in the US Navy Nurse Corps during WWII. Mrs. Sherrill retired from Grady Memorial Hospital after 25 yrs. as supervisor of the Surgical Emergency Clinic. She is survived by daughter, Lori Sherrill, sons Dana and Brent Sherrill, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Curt Sherrill. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at A.S. Turner and Sons funeral home, 2773 N. Decatur Rd. Decatur, GA. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM.
