Douglas Carson Willix

Douglas Carson Willix, age 49, passed away at home on November 3, 2025 due to a pulmonary embolism. Carson was born December 22, 1975 to John Douglas Willix and Georgette Woodford Willix. He was a graduate of Florida State University and spent most of his life as a recruiter in Florida, eventually establishing his own firm in Singer Island, Florida. He retired and returned to Atlanta in 2015 due to health concerns. Carson is survived by his mother, Georgette Willix, his sister, Laura Willix, and his aunt, Mary Willix. A memorial service will be held at Emory Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 3 pm. No flowers please; those wishing to honor his memory may donate to The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation.
