Mr. Dwayne William “Wayne” Sweat, Jr., 28, of Scottdale died Monday, May 18, 2009. He is survived by his mother, Lynn Mahaffey of Stone Mountain; father, Dwayne Sweat, Sr. of Winder; sisters, Elizabeth, Amanda, Nicole, Renee and Ricki; brothers, Scotty and Houston; maternal grandmother, Sherry Terry; maternal grandfather, Charles Mahaffey; grandfather, Tommy Pilgrim; nephews, Peyton Sweat, Ethan Sanders and Landon Sweat; aunts and uncles, Debbie and Donnie Pilgrim, David and Diana Sweat, Danny and Connie Sweat, Sheryle, Cindy and Connie; several loving cousins; and best friend, Kaye Turner. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 21 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Rev. Kenneth Sweat, Rev. Darrel Casteel and Rev. Brenda Sweat will officiate. Burial will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 at A. S. Turner & Sons.
