Eleanor Lynne Scott

December 29, 1940 — December 6, 2022

Lynne Cole Scott of Stone Mountain, GA passed away December 6th, 2022 at the age of 81. Lynne led a life of strength that was truly blessed and devoted to God, family, and friends. She grew up in Decatur, GA graduating from Decatur High School and Agnes Scott College.   Lynne’s passion for caring and nurturing started to flourish as a teacher in Dekalb Co and as a mother and friend to everyone she met.  
She was active at Eastminster Presbyterian Church having served as Deacon and Stephen Minister. However, her greatest joys were those of her family, especially her seven grandchildren.

    Lynne is survived by her sister Lucy Cole Gratton, her brother Joe Cole, wife Linda, son Alec Scott, wife Heather and daughters Laramie and Sierra, son Lovell Scott, wife Jennifer and sons Cole, Donovan and Emery Nolan, daughter Audra Scott Swinkola, husband Brian and daughters Kiera and Ashlin.     Her Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 17th at 2:00 PM, at Eastminster Presbyterian, 5801 Hugh Howell Rd, Stone Mountain, GA 30087. There will be a reception following the service at the church.      In lieu of flowers, you are requested to please send donations to one of the below charities: Heifer International whose project's mission is to end hunger and poverty in a sustainable way all over the world.
