Elizabeth Anne Partee

June 3, 1927 — July 26, 2012

Elizabeth Anne Partee of Brunswick, Georgia died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Hospice of the Golden Isles. Born and raised in Decatur, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Woodie A. Partee Sr. and Edna Chafin Partee. She attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga. and had a long career in banking in which she held senior positions at the First National Bank of Atlanta, retiring as a Regional Manager and Vice-President. She moved to Brunswick, Ga. in 2008. She is survived by a brother, James E. Partee Sr. of Highlands, N.C.; nieces, Cecile P. English of Saint Simons Island, Ga. and Francie P. Hargrove of Cashiers, N.C.; nephews, James E. Partee Jr. of Kennesaw, Ga.; J. Daniel Funkhouser of Charlottesville, Va., and Edward A. Funkhouser of Alexandria, Va.; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Her sisters, S. Lavinia Partee and Mary P. Funkhouser and a brother, W. Augutus Partee Jr., preceded her in death. Visitation will be held at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur on Saturday, August 4th at 11:00 AM followed by a graveside service at the Decatur Cemetery at 12 Noon.
