Elizabeth Wilson Gandy, age 60, sadly passed away on July 10, 2025 after her battle with cancer. She was born March 25, 1965 to her parents Albert and Charlotte Gandy. After attending Georgia Military College Prep School, Elizabeth went on to earn her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Georgia. Elizabeth's career included time in the manufacturing industry and the mortgage industry before she found her true passion, renovating real estate.
Elizabeth will be remembered as someone who enjoyed an adventure. In 1996 she moved to South Korea to teach English and take judo lessons. Years later she competed in a professional boxing match on a "double dog dare". But traveling is what brought her joy. In addition to living in South Korea, Elizabeth traveled to London, Paris, Thailand, Japan, Fiji, Guam, and Costa Rica. Her most recent travels took her to the Canadian Artic to witness the beluga whale migration, and a few months later she took a month long trip to Antarctica. Her other hobbies included hiking, kayaking, playing the guitar and playing pickleball.
Elizabeth is survived by her three siblings, Edward Gandy, Allison (Howie) Johnson, and Howard Gandy, her aunt, Carole Meadows Walker, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
