Elva Loraine Pherson

Mrs. Elva Loraine Pherson, age 93, of Augusta died Saturday, August 27, 2005. The wife of the late Ivan J. Pherson, she was a member of the First Christian Church of Atlanta. She is survived by her son, Bruce Edgar Pherson of Sanford, FL; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Lee Pherson Tussey of Augusta, GA, Mrs. Sharon Sue Pherson Tatum of Eatonton, GA; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, at 12 noon in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Rev. Tom Vanlaningham will officiate. Interment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur.
