Elza Lee Myrick, III

Elza Lee Myrick III, 77, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on September 30, 2026. Elza, known to his family and friends as Mike, passed surrounded by loved ones after a brave battle with cancer. Mike was born to Elza Lee Myrick Jr. and Nora Lucile Baker in Atlanta, Georgia on December 16, 1948. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1967, he proudly served in the United States Navy before becoming a lifelong barber and business owner. Mike was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was passionate about his Christian faith and living life to its fullest. Mike could often be found with a fishing pole, a golf club, a pool stick, a pan of biscuits, or a deck of cards as he fully embraced life's moments with joy and grace. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his ability to fix anything in the house, his passion for Jesus Christ, and his love for his family, friends, pets, and the Georgia Bulldogs.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Heinz; his children, Kimberly (Michael) Korth, and Justin (Brooke) Myrick, and their mother Sandra Stansell; Missy (Eric Tolton) Davenport Stamps and Amanda (Scott) Heinz-Stevenson; his grandchildren, Samantha, Nevada, Jess, Savannah, Hallie, Drake, Max, Miles and great granddaughter, Delaney Grace; his sister, Nora Lee Galbaugh and his nephews, Brian and Mark Galbaugh; and many extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on October 15, 2026, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 4278 Chamblee Tucker Road, Doraville, GA, 30340 with a visitation beginning at noon and a service at 1 p.m. We will have light lunch in the reception hall following the service.
