Emma P. Merriman

Emma P. Merriman, 95 of Atlanta, died November 10, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, W. V. (Bill) Merriman and is survived by her son, Gary W. Merriman; daughters, Judy Hart and Darlene McLelland; grandchildren, Gary V. Merriman, Bill Merriman, Steve Merriman, Bob Merriman, Brad McLelland and Mac McLelland; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great granddaughters. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers. She was a generous and loving life force with family always coming first. A special thank you to everyone at The Fountainview Center for Alzheimer’s Disease and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The 4th Street Foundation, 2631 N. Druid Hills Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30329. A family viewing will be held at 11:30 AM on Sunday, November 13th at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur followed by a graveside service at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Alpharetta at 1:00 PM.
