Eric Chadwick Batson

Eric “Batman” Batson, 48, of Colbert, GA, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 21, 2017, following an extended illness. His last days he fought for life with a humble and grateful heart. We are forever thankful to Jesus for giving us that time with him.

Eric was born on February 20, 1969, in Atlanta, GA. He attended Briarcliff High School, in Atlanta, where he was given the nickname, “Batman” by his friends. He spent years as an automotive technician and construction worker.

He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Joanna Batson of Atlanta; his sister, Kendra Haag (Brandon) of Flowery Branch; his beautiful children, Raegan, Noah, and Ayden Echols all of Washington; niece, Olivia Haag and nephews, Seth and Nathan Haag; and his dog, Grace.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 28 at 1:00-3:00 PM at A.S. Turner Funeral Home in Decatur. The family will hold a private memorial set for another time.

In lieu of flowers, the family just asked for a note with a memory of Eric or a scripture to encourage them.
