Ernest Knight

Ernest James Knight, Jr., 82, of Tucker, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. "Jim" was born in LaGrange, Georgia on November 14, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest James Knight, Sr., and Susie Mae Neely Knight, and his brother Bobby Eugene (Barbara) Knight.

Jim graduated from LaGrange High School and studied at LaGrange College before transferring to West Georgia College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. He later received a Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School. Jim was fond of history and Biblical teachings. He enjoyed many vocations, including social studies teacher, probation officer, and travel agent. The latter allowed him to explore the world, visiting many different countries. In addition, he was a Freemason and an avid coin collector. Jim was a member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation and was a longtime advocate for Israel, Native Americans, and unborn children.

He is survived by his brother, Ronald David (Lisa) Knight, his sons, Matthew (Kelly) and Adam (Kasel), and his three beloved grandchildren, Isla, August, and Evanne.

A Memorial service will be held November 16, 2025 beginning at 2:00 pm at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory, 2773 N. Decatur Rd Decatur, GA 30033.
