Eugene Debbs Phillips

Mr. Eugene Debbs Phillips, 94, died on Wednesday, September 16, 2009.  He survived his wife of 63 years, Meriam Simpson Phillips, and his son, Eugene Debbs Phillips, Jr.  His daughters, Sara Catanese of Melbourne Beach, FL, and Deborah Carter of Acworth, GA, survive him. He was blessed with nine grandchildren; six grandsons and three granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Glenn Memorial Methodist Church, 1660 N. Decatur Road, Atlanta, GA 30307.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA.  Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA.
