Frances Turner Holmes

Frances Holmes, age 99, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, July 25, 2026. She was a loving mother and wife who dedicated her life to her family and Christian faith.

Frances grew up in the Marietta area. After graduating high school, she moved to Atlanta to pursue a career. It was in Atlanta that she met her future husband Jack and married in 1950. Together they created a loving family home with their two children. Her home was a welcoming environment where you were always greeted with a smile and hug. Holidays and special events were made extra special through her creative talents and exceptional cooking. She was a patient and supportive wife and mother who brought much joy and peace to the family. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, jigsaw puzzles, gardening and cooking.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack; sister Inez and brothers Balaam, Leland, Carlos, Milton and Franklin. She is survived by children Bob (Penny), Diane (Jaime); grandchildren Claire (Alan), Zack (Katie), Kasey June (Ernesto); great grandson Simon; sister-in laws Tiny and Sara and many nieces and nephews.

Frances requested there not be a funeral. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to a charity of your choice.
