Frank Thornton Barrett Jr.

Frank Thornton Barrett Jr was born in Atlanta February 1, 1938 to Helen Ernst & Frank Barrett Sr. He is survived by his two siblings Judy Taylor, Henry Barrett, and his son Paul Barrett. He was predeceased by his eldest son, Peirce Barrett. He was a loving grandfather to two grandchildren.

He graduated Avondale High school in 1956. He married the love of his life Frechia Pierce in 1960. Then graduated from The University of Georgia in 1962 with a degree in Horticulture. He was co-owner of Leigh-al Floral Co.; however, after pretending to retire, he continued working with plants at Home Depot until June of this year.

Frank was a long-time member of North Decatur United Methodist Church and an avid tenor in the choir and the Decatur Civic Chorus. He was a volunteer at Dekalb Medical Hospital and the Dekalb Symphony Orchestra.

He was an avid traveler and had many adventures with Frechia and their friends. We will miss him and his infectious laughter.
