January 30, 1945 — October 17, 2014
Gayle Couch Owen, 69, of Snellville, formerly of Stone Mountain, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014. Ms. Owen was a retired principal from the DeKalb County School System and a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Born and raised in Decatur, GA. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Andrea Gayle Oliver and Steven Oliver; son and daughter-in-law, Richard Gregory Owen and Sara Owen; 6 grandchildren, all of Snellville; aunt, Cornelia Couch Cunningham of Newnan, GA; cousins, Mike Cunningham and David Cunningham of Newnan, GA, Jenny Wright and Edward McKinnon of North Carolina and sisters of Georgia Alpha Delta Kappa. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 20th, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Pastor Caleb Clark will officiate, with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday October 19th at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
