George Chanos

George Steve Chanos, age 64, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025.

George was born on August 19, 1961, in Tucker, Georgia to parents Steve and Mary Anne Chanos. Growing up, George was a talented multi-sport athlete, had an adventurous spirit and lived life with fearless enthusiasm. George was kind and witty, finding great joy in cooking for his friends and family. He was the source of constant laughter and proudly served as the resident grill-master.

George was preceded in death by his father, Steve Chanos. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Wendy; his children, Steve (Stephanie) Chanos and Alissa (Grant) Faulkner; his mother, Mary Anne; his sister, Chrysé (Jody) Smallwood; and his grandchildren, Josh and Cooper, along with many cherished extended family members.

A celebration of life will be held on December 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, Georgia.
