George Wiley, Jr.

George Andrew (Tuffy) Wiley, Jr. died Saturday, May 7, 2005.  He served honorably in the 96th Division of the US Army Infantry as a Staff Sergeant.  He fought in the battle for the liberation of the Philippines and the last battle of the war, the conquest of Okinawa.  He was a member of the Doric Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Esther Wiley of Lilburn; sons, George Andrew (Andy) Wiley III of Stone Mountain, Alan L. Wiley of Lilburn and Rick Wiley of Lilburn; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. J. Truett Gannon officiating.  Interment will be in Westview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
