Greea Griffith Umstead

Greea Griffith Umstead, 42, of Johns Creek passed away Tuesday January 15, 2013. Greea's profession included personal training and massage therapy as she found her joy in helping others. A native of the Atlanta area, she graduated with a BA degree in Social Work from The University of Georgia. Greea was preceded in death by her parents, Payton and Barbara Griffith and is survived by her husband, Chip and her stepchildren, Alex (with wife Lexie and daughter Allie), Nick and Katelyn; sister Vanta Shafer (and her husband Bobby), brothers Guy Griffith, Reed Griffith, and her twin brother Troy Griffith (and his wife Lisa); and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her precious canine companions, Eddy and Annie. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her memory to The Atlanta Humane Society. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons at 6:00 pm Monday, January 21st. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial.
