H. Truman Cowart
January 25, 1925 — July 17, 2012
Mr. H. Truman Cowart, age 87 of Snellville, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Truman graduated from GA Tech with a degree in electrical engineering and proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired after 40 years of service with BellSouth/AT&T and was a member of the BellSouth Pioneers. He was an avid bowler and attended Bethany Primitive Baptist Church. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed. Truman is survived by his wife, Dorothy Cowart; sons, Philip Truman Cowart and Keith Allen Cowart; step-son, Milton E. Page; step-daughters, Becky Walker and Paula Briscoe; and grandchildren, Seth, Ross and Rebecca Walker, Andy and Andrea Briscoe, and Max and Maggie Page. Funeral services will held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons on Friday, July 20th at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory.
