Harriet B. Smoot

Mrs. Harriet K Smoot, formerly of Decatur, died March 4, 2007.  She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and taught French at the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School. She was a  member of the Clairmont Presbyterian Church and the Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church.  She is survived by her son, Rev. David M. Smoot and his wife Diane of Ocala, FL; granddaughters, Jennifer Smoot Miles and her husband Brandon of Cleveland, TN, and Erin Smoot Jones and her husband Joel of Jacksonville, FL; great grandchildren, Chandler Brooke Miles and Riley Madison Miles; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 17th, at 2 p.m. at Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the cemetery. A. S. Turner & Sons
