Ann Cofer, 93, of Atlanta, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on January10, 2026. She was born on April 11, 1932 in Atlanta, to the late Harland E. Cofer, of Charlotte North Carolina and the late Vivian B. Cofer, of Atlanta.

Ann graduated from Decatur High School, Georgia College and State University (formerly, Georgia State College for Women) and Emory University Hospital School of Medical Record Science. She was employed at Emory University Hospital as a Medical Records Administrator and as an instructor at the Emory School of Medical Record Science for over 30 years, prior to her retirement as Assistant Director of the Medical Records Department in 1994. She was lovingly known as Annie to her family. She is survived by six nieces, two nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews and their children. Annie will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Sunday January, 25th at A. S. Turner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles Stephen Cofer Research Fund at Georgia Southwestern State University. GSW Foundation, Inc., P.O.
