Harry F. Downs

Mr. Harry F. Downs, age 79, of Stone Mountain died Wednesday, November 30, 2005.  He was a proud veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army.  Mr. Downs was a long-time member of Ingleside Presbyterian Church and was employed with Sears for 46 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois Jones Downs; son, Harry Michael Downs, both of Stone Mountain; daughters, Kathy Elaine Downs of Athens, GA, Delores Ann Myers and her husband, Ray of Stone Mountain; brother, Floyd M. Downs, Jr. of Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 2nd in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Pastor Bill Bratley and Rev. Alton Hardy will officiate.  Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
