Helen Elizabeth Palmer

July 22, 1947 — March 16, 2024

Helen Elizabeth Palmer (Gardner) passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, after an extended illness at the age of 76.


She was born on July 22, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in Atlanta. She attended Gordan High School. She married September 1, 1967.


Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker for 20 years before pursuing a career as a bookkeeper for Cub Foods.


She is survived by her loving husband, Gary C. Palmer, her daughters Andrea Palmer Juliao (Moises Juliao) and Christa Palmer Harris (Steve Harris), her sons Gregory C. Palmer (Meghan O'Neal Palmer) and Neal G. Palmer (Andrea Palmer), and her cherished grandchildren Anna, Audrey, and Jacob Juliao, as well as Jaxon and Tate Palmer.


Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Gardner, her sister Anna Nichols, brother-in-law Joe Nichols, and nephew Billy Nichols.


A funeral service to honor and celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held at A. S. Turner and Sons in Decatur, Georgia.


Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
