Helen Sheffield

HELEN (Mrs. D. T.) Sheffield, of Atlanta died Sunday, October 3, 2004.  She was a longtime resident of Canterbury Court since 1975.  She was an accomplished soloist and pianist and played until she was 98 years old.  She participated in numerous activities at Canterbury, especially the gardening activities. Mrs. Sheffield was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, where she was involved in both Bible study and the choir.  Mrs. Sheffield is survived by her two granddaughters, Lynda Brooks Schell, deLissa Brooks Sweatt; three great grandchildren, Lauren Sweatt, Lindsay Franklin and Samantha Schell.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 6th at the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta.  Rev. Trisha Senterfitt will officiate.  Interment Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, 1328 Peachtree St., N.E., Atlanta, GA  30309.
