Helen Virginia Hyde
August 17, 1924 — April 16, 2012
Mrs. Helen Virginia Hyde, 87, of Scottdale, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Peter and Gertrude Warner. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, William Lawson Hyde and her granddaughter, Julie Hernandez. She is survived by her daughters, Mildred Galvin and Janie Jones, both of Scottdale; her son, Bruce Warner of Athens, eleven grandchildren including her favorite grandson, Louis Gonzalez and her best friend, Mae Brown. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Heart Association 1101 Northchase Parkway Suite #1 Marietta, GA 30067. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
