Marie Warren

Helen Marie (Stalvey) Warren, age 96 of Decatur, GA, passed away March 31, 2025. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was in real estate before retiring to square dance and travel. Marie was a member of Briarlake Baptist Church.

Marie is predeceased by her husband Harvey "Bud" Warren and son Gary Bowman.

Marie is survived by sons Richard (Brenda) Bowman and Stephen (Linda) Bowman; grandchildren Jessica (Mark Boner) Bowman, Stephanie Silvia, Brian (Becky) Bowman, Brandon (Jessica) Bowman, Justin Bowman, Joseph Bowman, Benjamin (Heather) Bowman, Daniel Bowman, and Matthew (Beth) Bowman; and many beloved great grandchildren.

Marie's legacy lies in her devotion to family and God. She was an extraordinary mother figure to many including former daughter-in-law Patricia (Terrance) Kernan and daughter-in-law Carlene Bowman; stepchildren Joseph (CyCy) Lambert (deceased), Stephen (Bobette) Lambert, Laura Neas, and Joseph (Linda) Warren; step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and her dear cousins.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Larry Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Mitchell Baptist Church Cemetery, Mitchell, Georgia on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
