Holly Anderson Williams
October 21, 1946 - June 6, 2025
Holly Anderson Williams, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on October 21, 1946, Holly lived life with joy, energy, and a remarkable sense of connection to others. She had an infectious sense of fun and never met a stranger-her warmth and openness drew people in, and over the years, she "collected" friends and relationships wherever she went. Holly had a true gift for making everyone she met feel seen, loved, and valued.
A passionate member of her community, Holly gave generously of her time and heart. She was an active member of North Decatur Presbyterian Church and the PEO Sisterhood, finding deep fellowship in both. She also loved gathering with her bridge group each week-her laughter and sense of fun made every hand memorable. Whether through a listening ear, a helping hand, or an encouraging word, Holly brought light into the lives of so many.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Williams, with whom she shared a wonderful life full of adventure and joy. Together, they cherished traveling in their RV and spending treasured times in Keystone, Colorado.
She is survived by her son, Joe Pittman, Jr., and his wife, Marni Pittman; her grandchildren, Joe Pittman, III, Levi Pittman, and Boone Pittman; her stepson, Kelly Williams, and his wife, Shelley; and her step‑granddaughter, Nicole Chattam, and her children, Kinsley and Daxson, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her brother, Rick Anderson, and his wife, Betty; her sister, Julie Baker, and her husband, Lee; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Ricky, Lauren, Brian, Christine, Sarah, and Pete, the children of Rick and Julie, whom she loved deeply.
Holly's compassion, curiosity, and boundless love for others will be deeply missed. Her legacy is one of connection, laughter, and the countless lives she touched with her generous heart.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at North Decatur Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Holly's memory may be made to North Decatur Presbyterian Church, Decatur, GA or PEO Chapter BQ.
