James Garvin Herndon

Mr. James Garvin Herndon of Atlanta died Monday, March 21, 2005. He was a long-time resident of Linn, Missouri, and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn M. Herndon; daughter, Kathryn Ferris of Acworth; sons, James Herndon, Jr. of Decatur, Thomas Herndon of Tucker; brother, Robert Herndon of Linn, MO, Ralph Herndon of Tustin, CA, William Herndon of Butler, MO, Robert Herndon of Linn, MO; sisters, Lois Branson and Ruth Lyon, both of Linn, MO; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 25th, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research , (800) 708-7644. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
