James William Mann

James W. Mann, 91, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Loganville and Stone Mountain passed away Thursday, September 8, 2005.  He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Estelle Brewton Mann; children, Jim and Louise Mann, Spartanburg, SC, Carol Hembree, Lawrenceville and Sherri and Skip Cooper, Snellville; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.  Mr. Mann is also survived by his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Long of Decatur.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, T.C. Mann and John Mann.  He was retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., and a member of Summit Baptist Church in Loganville.  He was a former member of the Baptist Tabernacle of Atlanta and Clarkston Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA, officiated by Rev. Carl "Butch" Butcher.  Burial will be on Monday, September 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
