Jay David Taylor, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly at his home in Decatur, GA, on June 8, 2025, at the age of 57.
He was born on April 23, 1968, in Huntsville, Alabama (Madison County), to his parents David Turner Taylor and Ann Burgess Taylor. He is survived by his parents; his brothers, Christopher (Tracy) and Timothy (Veronique); and his four children, Abigail, Austin, Hudson, and John Taylor.
Jay obtained his bachelors degree from Auburn University in 1991 and later earned his Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2006. His life was marked by a deep love for the Lord and an unwavering passion for sharing the gospel. Jay served as a missionary with Mission to the World before founding Mosaic Fellowship, an international church built on the vision of uniting people from all cultures in worship and community through Christ.
Jay was known for his joyful spirit and quick wit. He loved studying Scripture, grilling his signature burgers, spending time with his children, and of course, watching Auburn football. He leaves behind a legacy of faith and love that will continue to inspire those he ministered to and walked alongside.
