Jeannie Allen Commins

Jeannie Allen Commins of Woodstock died Saturday, April 19, 2008.  An Atlanta native, she worked as a teacher and counselor for the State of Georgia.  She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Smith; grandparents, Gladys and Forrest Hamrick, and Myrtle and Alonzo Smith.  Jeannie is survived by her husband, Phil Commins of Woodstock; daughter, Aimee Underwood (Barry) of Flowery Branch; son, Adam Allen of Atlanta; sister, Lori Moore (Jerry) of Buford; mother, Shirley H. Smith of Decatur; aunts, Louise Strother of Winfield, KS, Betty Lou Carroll of Atlanta; uncle, Donald Smith of Columbus; and several dear nieces and nephews, and cousins.  A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Donny Hamrick officiating.  Interment Crestlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
